By placing a booking or submitting payment for Sunrise Express tickets through our service, you acknowledge and agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read this document carefully before proceeding.

 

1. Service Description:

Sunrise Express Tickets is a private booking service that assists customers in reserving and delivering tickets for the Sunrise Seto and Sunrise Izumo overnight trains in Japan. We are not affiliated with JR (Japan Railways Group) and do not claim to represent or act on behalf of JR or any of its subsidiaries.

 

2. Ticket Availability:

Sunrise Express tickets are limited in quantity and high in demand. We do our best to secure your requested seat and accommodation type (e.g. Nobi-Nobi, Single, Solo, etc.), but we cannot guarantee availability for any specific train, date, or seat type. Ticket requests are fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis, based on the timestamp of your deposit payment.

 

3. Deposit and Payment Terms:

A deposit is required to initiate a ticket request.The deposit amount will be specified on our website or in your booking confirmation email. Once the ticket is secured, you will be notified and asked to complete the final payment (which includes the JR face value of the ticket, plus service and shipping fees). Final payment is due within the time window provided in your confirmation. Failure to pay may result in ticket forfeiture without refund of the deposit.

 

4. Ticket Delivery:

Tickets are delivered either via physical shipping (using Japan Post for domestic (Japan-only) deliveries and FedEX for international deliveries). You are responsible for providing an accurate and complete shipping address. Delivery is considered complete once the shipment is delivered to, or made available for pickup at, the shipping address provided by you according to the carrier’s tracking records. Failure to retrieve, accept, or personally receive a shipment does not constitute non-delivery.

 

5. Accuracy of Information:

You are responsible for providing accurate:

 

Travel dates and preferred train

 

Departure and arrival stations

 

Passenger information (e.g. number of passengers, gender if required)

 

Contact details for communication and shipping

 

We are not responsible for errors resulting from incorrect or incomplete information submitted by the customer.

6. Customer Availability:

 

If you choose to provide a third-party address (e.g., friend, hotel, or residence you do not personally occupy), you remains fully responsible for ensuring availability to receive the shipment. We are not responsible for identity verification requirements, pickup restrictions, or your inability to be present at the delivery location.

 

7. Pricing:

 

All final prices include the JR base fare, limited express surcharge, and our service fee. Pricing may also include domestic or international shipping fees.The final amount will be clearly communicated before you are asked to complete your payment.

8. Order Fulfillment:

An order is considered fulfilled when the requested tickets have been successfully secured, issued, and shipped to your provided address, and the shipment is marked as delivered or available for delivery by the carrier prior to the scheduled train departure.

9. Limitations of Liability:

 

We are not liable for train delays, cancellations, missed connections, or any other operational decisions made by JR. We are not responsible for costs incurred as a result of JR schedule changes, including hotel bookings, missed events, or other travel disruptions. Our maximum liability in any case is limited to the amount you paid for our service.

 

10. Force Majeure:

 

We are not responsible for failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, extreme weather, strikes, pandemics, or sudden JR policy changes.

 

11. Communications and Customer Support:

 

All communication related to refunds, cancellations, or support must be submitted via email to: booking@sunriseexpresstickets.com. We aim to respond within 1–2 business days.

 

12. Changes to Terms:

 

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on our website with the date of the most recent revision.

 

13. Governing Law:

 

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising from your use of this service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Tokyo, Japan.

 

14. Agreement:

 

By submitting a deposit or placing a booking, you confirm that:

 

You have read and understood these Terms and Conditions.

 

You agree to comply with them fully.

 

You understand our refund policy and service limitations.
